Writing the wrongs

It always used to amaze me when I would come across errors in a book that I was reading, ‘How could a book reach the published stage of its life and not be perfect?’ Oh, I don't mean mistakes in historical facts or plots that became so entangled they must have lost the author somewhere along the way. No, I'm referring to spelling mistakes, typos and a word that should not be there, but then I began writing books. I learnt within a little time that I could read through my script a dozen times, confident that I'd hunted down and exterminated those niggling errors, then however an editor or proof reader would find a misplaced word or one I'd left in while adding a more appropriate one..

So it was that having checked, re-checked and having had other people check, I read the published edition of Sempre; finding home and thought of changing the title to ‘Sempre; finding mistakes'.

The following are corrections in the published book, but maybe, and this is highly possible, you have read the story and not even noticed them yourselves:

p.81: great granddaughter granddaughter

p.119: Taffafal Tarrafal

P.120: … cleared from cultivated the now …

P.154 … and if we DID DO need to fight … If we were are NOT ignored …
